Head of Digital Workplace (Singapore)
The application leader of digital workplace programs and leads the effort to create a work environment that boosts workforce digital dexterity through an engaging and intuitive work environment. The goal is to improve the employee experience so that ASM can profit from digital business models and enhanced workforce effectiveness to achieve its business goals.
The primary goal of the digital workplace is to maximize the effectiveness of individual employees, teams and the organization by designing workplace services for engagement, building them for scale and running them for continuous change. The primary function of the Head of Digital Workplace is creating the work environment that ensures this goal.
Key responsibilities:
- Champion digital workplace initiatives that support ASM’s digital business transformation, enabling its participation in the digital economy.
- Work with the Global IT, Global HR, Global Facilities, Internal Communications and business leaders to establish the digital workplace vision.
- Ensure its ongoing visibility and awareness through a well-orchestrated communications plan.
- Organize and lead a digital workplace steering committee.
- Ensure that the workforce is able and willing to embrace a potentially disruptive transformation in the workplace.
- Involve business functional owners and key users to make existing work processes more effective by rethinking, simplifying and redesigning them.
- Identify leading-edge thinking and work with the employees involved to bring these activities into the broader corporate technology portfolio.
- Establish a methodology for consistent implementation services such as procurement, provisioning, deployment, training and promotion.
- Define processes for the effective, integrated introduction of new digital workplace assets.
- Lead the development, publication and maintenance of the corporate digital workplace architecture, as well as the roadmap for its future development, which matches and supports business needs.
- Develop metrics that allow the organization to gauge the success of its digital workplace investments.
- Develop financial models that track digital workplace investments and operating costs.
- Recruit and develop a social science team to boost collaboration and innovation
The ideal candidate will have (education & experience):
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, computer science, information management or related field, or equivalent work experience. Academic qualification or professional training in marketing, social or behavioral science is also desirable.
- At least 5 years relevant IT End User Computing and service management experience, in a multicultural environment.
- Ten or more years of work experience, preferably in business or IT management and, ideally, a combination of the two.
- Experience in designing strategic metrics and scorecards.
- Strategy or management consulting experience desirable

Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering/Product teams, Quality Engineers, Program Management, Ops Production and Control and other Commodity Managers, and in accordance with the commodity strategy, this role will support the formulation and execution for overall supplier management strategy and is responsible for successfully managing the key relationships between Organization and the Contract Manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Manages the outsourcing and contract manufacturing partners globally. Optimizes supplier performance including Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, Supply Chain Management, etc.
- Works within the team to establish and develop Commodity Plan based on the company’s strategy and direction. Adapts the strategy as business, market, and economic environments change.
- Establishes and maintains Supplier Classification and Supplier Capability Matrix.
- Constantly evaluates and identifies supplier risks in term of financial, quality, delivery, cost, capacity, system, market, etc and leads efforts to address those risks.
