ASM is a global corporation, and we are looking for a People Partner for the US Region in Phoenix, AZ. ASM’s US population is preparing for rapid growth in the US and preparing to move to a new a brand-new facility in Scottsdale, AZ.  ASM is creating a larger home for its most advanced and state of the art product development center.  This is the heartbeat of our company’s innovation! 

 

The HR organization is instrumental in laying the new foundation for our exciting growth journey and for developing the HR strategy to address talent, organizational and culture pillars requirements. In this role, you will be part of a high impact team with the opportunity to develop and influence the people strategies to support ASM’s growth. This role reports to the Head of People, US. 

  

In this role you will: 

  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner to the business by delivering pro-active support to senior business leaders and anticipating business needs/priorities 

  • Provide advice and counsel to Executives and Senior Leaders and serve on a staff for aligned senior leaders 

  • Partner with HR centers of excellence to influence and drive strategic activities, such as organizational & leadership development, culture and engagement, employer of choice and talent management and strategic workforce planning 

  • Understand the aligned business units intimately, building acumen while considering the competitive landscape to enhance strategic decision-making and organizational performance 

  • Obtain business insight through data analytics, research, and benchmarking to inform trends, risks, opportunities, and solutions that will drive results, enabling business growth 

  • Manage the HR strategy for business unit managing and optimizing a range of HR programs, processes and services. Demonstrates strong change management skills at all organizational levels 

  • Proactively align workforce capabilities with organizational goals by forecasting and enabling future talent needs 

  • Encourage positive employee relations and use techniques to collect feedback and listen to employees and leaders in order to monitor and resolve concerns related to the health of the organization 

  • Be a steward of corporate HR practices, guidelines and policies while role modeling ASM’s values and culture 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field 

  • 5+ years of experience as a People Partner or equivalent human resource role 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate within various levels of the organization and excellent negotiation skills. 

  • Demonstrated leadership and relationship building skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, implement, and close multiple projects while maintaining high-quality work under deadlines. 

  • Demonstrated ability in understanding people issues impacting the business. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) 

  • Experience leading with influence. 

  • Excellent attention to detail 

  • Initiative to identify and anticipate needs and make recommendations for implementation. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in HR related field or M.B.A. 

  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification 

  • Experience working in a global environment is preferred
