Job's mission

Join ASM as a Mechanical Engineer and play a key role in developing innovative reactor configurations that are shaping the future of semiconductor technology. From concept to productization, you will lead the design, development, and validation of high-tech solutions that enable groundbreaking applications. Collaborating across disciplines, you’ll be at the forefront of driving innovation in thermal and fluid systems while delivering impactful results to the technology of tomorrow.

What you will be working on

  • Lead the technical development of reactor configurations throughout the entire product lifecycle, including conceptualization, CAD modeling, analysis, development, and test/validation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, software, process, supply chain, manufacturing, and product support, to develop innovative products.
  • Prepare technical presentations for diverse audiences, including technical review meetings, and provide management with clear reports and recommendations.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis to define corrective and preventive actions and contribute to operational efficiency improvement and standardization initiatives.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field; a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science is strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on chemical reactors and expertise in heat/mass transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical design principles, including materials selection, fabrication/machining methods, and design fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (with an affinity for GD&T principles) and the ability to review or produce technical drawings.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed analysis using computational tools in one or more of the following areas: flow dynamics, heat transfer, structural and vibration analysis.
  • Disciplined working attitude, following internal procedures and complying with national and international standards and legal frameworks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver technical presentations in English.

What sets you apart

  • Familiarity with gas transport phenomena and chemical kinetics.
  • Hands-on experience with plant instrumentation, process control, vacuum technology, or the engineering of systems operating in cleanroom environments.
  • Prior experience in the semiconductor industry, especially within thin film deposition technology.
  • Background in experimental work involving fluidic and thermal systems, with the ability to assist in physical setup of apparatus.
  • Experience working with PLM and change management systems.
  • Familiarity with engineering work subject to strict industrial standards and with state-of-the-art cleanroom laboratories (class 1,000 or above).

Apply today to be part of what’s next.

We make the tech that enables the chips in devices which improve lives around the world. We do this with an eye to the future, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible through cutting-edge innovation, and driving the next wave of technological breakthroughs that shape how we live, work, and connect.
