Job Description for Senior Accountant– Finance Operations

We are seeking a Senior accountant – financial Operations with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.

Reporting to Senior Manager, Finance Shared Service, this is an individual contributor role based in Singapore.

Accountabilities include but not limited to:

Systems Support:

  • Key users in S4 Hana design and implementation.
  • Finance Shared services initiatives & projects.
  • Process improvement and automation, streamlining financial processes to increase overall efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Finance end users training.
  • Promptly respond and resolve finance users request pertaining to financial shared services system & related issues.
  • Administrate the finance user issues log system and ensure all requests are completed within required performance timeline and quality metrics.

System Administration:

  • Administrate Global approval matrix SAP setup and check against the approved list.
  • Administrate SAP Capex budget system.
  • Administration of IFRS16 lease system.
  • Blackline system administration, user support, and enhancements.
  • Backup for treasury bank system administration and treasury management system
  • Concur System administration.
  • Shared points administration.

Reporting/ Accounting:

  • Government statistics and survey reporting.
  • Grant compliance report and support.
  • Capex expenditure reporting.
  • Assisting the Finance team with month-end closing processes and procedures e.g., fixed assets count, AUC monitoring, backlog / IT reporting while supporting the reconciliation of reports every quarter/year.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related fields with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, financial systems, and processes.
  • Able to collaborate between Finance and IT department, along with other third parties to ensure smooth functioning of financial systems, tools and implement new system changes.
  • Proficient with SAP Financial & Controlling modules.
  • Working knowledge of Blackline/ Power BI / Analysis for Office will be a plus.
  • Agile and highly adaptable in fast paced working environments.
  • Resourceful and initiative-taking, ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
