(Senior) Field Service Engineer – ALD & EPI (학사/석사 경력직) 
Location:  Icheon, Korea (이천) 


Position Summary 

As an experienced Field Service Engineer, you will utilize your experience to independently handle installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks for our equipment in ASM. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to work autonomously while contributing to team success. As a Field Service Engineer, you will directly report to Field Service Manager.


Responsibilities

•    Lead installation, qualification, and decommissions of ASM's complex electromechanical semiconductor capital equipment. Conduct associated start-up, cut over and check-out activities on the newly installed systems.
•    Provide tool-down repair support in complex situations, collaborating effectively in diverse team environments, and developing action plans and presentations for problem resolutions to internal customers.
•    Develop action plans for problem solution and be able to present to internal stakeholders.
•    Assess severity of malfunctions and determine corrective actions required or escalate for assistance and prompt resolution.
•    Implement field modifications or updates as released in Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) which may involve removal and installation of assemblies, sub-assemblies, systems, and subsystems.
•    Prepare and maintain accurate logs, service records, part usage documentation, diagnostic updates, and other management reports.
•    Prepare and coordinate meetings with customer leadership.
•    Software installation, testing and documentation/submission of customer software requests (SRS)
•    Maintain compliance with safety and operational standards.


Required Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
•    5+ years of relevant work experience in field service or manufacturing of OEM capital equipment in the semiconductor industry is required. 
•    Knowledge and experience in all the following: wafer fabs, closed loop gas and vacuum control, gas schematics and drawings, RF induced plasma (as applicable), toxic and/or flammable gasses and acids. 
•    Knowledge and experience in all the following: Electromechanical schematics and drawings, electro-pneumatic controls, robotics, microprocessor-based controllers, basic concepts of software.
•    Understand the importance of following existing safety policies and procedures.
•    Strong customer focused attitude 
•    Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills (both Korean and English)
•    Proficient in MS office 
•    Travel of 25-75% for both domestic and international locations may be required.
•    Work in constrictive clean room environment, wearing appropriate personal protective safety equipment.
