Highlights

In 2025 we delivered strong progress by continuing to invest in innovation, talent, and a resilient global footprint, while sharpening our strategic focus to capture new growth opportunities and secure our long-term competitive advantage. At the same time, we deepened engagement with leading customers as they prepare for next‑generation technologies. We continued enabling the transition to gate‑all‑around (GAA) architectures and advanced memory solutions that support the accelerating demands of AI.

Leadership insights

In a year of mixed market conditions, ASM once again delivered strong results. Sales grew by 12% at constant currencies, marking our ninth consecutive year of double-digit growth. The technology drivers in our industry remain firmly intact. Demand continues to rise for faster, more power‑efficient semiconductor devices capable of supporting the massive growth in data and compute intensity driven by AI and other advanced applications.

Accelerated AI with momentum in GAA and DRAM 

Artificial intelligence is transforming how we live, work, and connect, and the digital devices and services we use every day are evolving at breakneck speed. This accelerates global demand for chips that are smaller, smarter, and more efficient and ASM’s mastery of material discovery meets this challenge head-on. We enable the next-generation chips that turn today’s science fiction into tomorrow’s reality. One atomic layer at a time, our world-class deposition tools are igniting the future by elevating the invisible to the extraordinary.

Digital transformation and AI trends continue to fuel significant growth in the semiconductor-device market. New AI-augmented end-market products and applications are being developed across nearly every segment of the economy. These expanded markets and requirements are expected to continue to drive the most advanced-node logic and memory capacity.  Smaller GAA transistors, in denser devices with advanced packaging, are enabling better performance at lower power. Zooming in on the DRAM market, there is a similar outlook for HBM.
