Our development programs help support your growth, shaping your future and pushing the boundaries of innovation to unleash potential.
We're looking for a Specialist II, Technical Training to join our Global Training Center in Phoenix. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems but is equally energized by sharing knowledge, coaching others, and helping people grow.
Whether you've worked in semiconductors, aviation, automotive, military maintenance, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or another highly technical environment, this role offers an opportunity to take your hands-on experience and create a broader impact. Instead of supporting one system or one customer at a time, you'll help develop the talent that supports customers around the world.
If you're the type of person who enjoys understanding how things work, teaching others, and building technical capability, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As a Technical Trainer, you'll play a critical role in preparing engineers and technicians to safely, confidently, and effectively support ASM equipment in the field.
You will:
- Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on technical training on ASM equipment and systems
- Create a positive learning environment that promotes technical growth, confidence, and safety
- Coach and mentor engineers and technicians at varying levels of experience
- Support the development and continuous improvement of training materials, labs, and learning content
- Update training programs to reflect new technologies, equipment upgrades, and evolving procedures
- Troubleshoot and maintain training systems to ensure equipment is fully functional and ready for instruction
- Collaborate with Business Units, engineering teams, and product experts to keep training content current
- Evaluate learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support development
- Maintain training records and learning management systems
- Represent the Global Training Center in cross-functional discussions and technology updates
Optional travel opportunities may be available for those interested, but travel is not required for this role.

It's an opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in a role that combines:
- Technical problem solving
- Coaching and mentoring
- Leadership through influence
- Knowledge sharing
- Continuous learning
The impact you make extends far beyond a single repair or customer site.

You may be a great fit if you have experience in:
- Semiconductor equipment
- Aviation or aerospace maintenance
- Automotive systems and diagnostics
- Military technical occupations
- Industrial automation
- Manufacturing equipment
- Electromechanical systems
- Field service or maintenance environments
Qualifications
- Technical degree, bachelor's degree, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with complex technical equipment or systems
- Ability to work a Day shift schedule (7AM – 7PM ) on an alternating compressed work week schedule (36 hr & 48 hr)
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to follow, validate, and improve operational and maintenance procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Experience delivering technical training, coaching others, or developing training content is highly valued but not required.
