As Product Quality Director/Sr. Director, you will lead quality and reliability for cutting-edge equipment platforms supporting advanced process technologies. Reporting to the VP, Global Quality, you will work at the intersection of engineering innovation and customer success, driving quality excellence from new technology development through global deployment. This role provides a unique opportunity to influence the development and commercialization of breakthrough semiconductor technologies, solve complex engineering challenges, and ensure the robust performance of products that enable the world's most advanced AI, logic, memory, and high-performance computing applications.

Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all product quality matters for assigned product lines

Coach and mentor teams for root cause investigations on issues leveraging failure analysis and best practices, e.g. 5 Why's, fishbone diagram etc.

Develop and execute product quality strategies aligned with business objectives in alignment with business units.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and report product quality performance through established KPIs and scorecards.
- Lead Quality engagement throughout the NPI lifecycle.
- Define, communicate, and execute Quality Roles & Responsibilities (R&R) within product development programs.
- Ensure Design for Quality and Reliability principles are incorporated into new product development.
- Support design reviews, qualification activities, and product release readiness assessments.
- Establish product quality requirements and acceptance criteria during development.
- Serve as the Quality Owner within the Product Lifecycle Control (PLC) process.
- Own and maintain critical quality deliverables including:
- Product and System FMEA
- Critical Parts Identification and Control
- Reliability Plans and Assessments
- Product Risk Registers
- Quality Plans
- Ensure lifecycle quality requirements are met from concept through end-of-life.
- Define product reliability requirements and objectives.
- Develop reliability verification and validation strategies.
- Establish reliability measurement methodologies, performance metrics, and qualification criteria.
- Lead reliability growth and improvement activities.
- Develop and maintain reliability apportionment models to support system reliability targets.
- Analyze field reliability data and drive corrective actions to improve product robustness.
- Own Top-X customer quality issues and Tier 1 escalations for assigned product lines.

Act as the primary quality interface for strategic customers
- Lead cross-functional teams in containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure activities.
- Provide executive-level communication and status updates for critical customer issues.
- Drive customer satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives.
- Apply risk-based methodologies to identify and mitigate product quality risks.
- Facilitate structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as:
- 8D
- DMAIC
- FMEA
- Fault Tree Analysis
- Root Cause Analysis
- Drive systemic corrective and preventive actions.
- Champion quality culture and operational excellence initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Reliability, or related technical discipline.
- Master's degree preferred.

15+ years of experience in Quality, Reliability, Engineering, or Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing.
- Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Lifecycle Management.
- Experience leading customer quality escalations and complex cross-functional problem-solving efforts.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor equipment systems and reliability engineering principles.
