The Challenge

As a (senior) Patent Analyst in one of our European offices, your primary focus is performing tailored patent searches, analysis and landscapes for various global business needs. This includes maintaining close contact with the rest of the global IP team and business stakeholders in our product sites. Depending on experience, presenting/leading analysis, communication to stakeholder, leading ideation projects may become part of the function.

You will report directly to the Global IP strategy lead, located in Helsinki, Finland. You will have a strong working relation with IP team members in the US, Japan, Korea, Belgium, Finland, and the Netherlands as well as the different business units around the globe.

Location

Candidates for Helsinki and Almere office locations are invited to apply. In this position traveling may be required to accommodate the global footprint of the IP generation team and other stakeholders.

Education

  • Sc. degree educated (ideally Ph.D. level) in chemistry, materials/nanoscience, physics or other relevant semiconductor engineering discipline.
  • Registered new Patent Attorneys with relevant experience are encouraged to apply

Experience 

  • Preferably 7 or more years of experience searching patents and technical literature and use of patent search / analysis tools, including AI tools
  • You will have a foundation and desire to search and analyze data / patents / scientific information, improve workflows and process and further tailor and compile analysis from those to our business needs
  • You have been self-driven and capable of operating with high degree of autonomy
  • You have a deep scientific interest and a willingness to become an expert in the semiconductor deposition industry

»             Able to understand multiple and varying interests and devise the rights questions to achieve the stakeholders desired outcome.

»             Understanding diverse cultural backgrounds of other team members and stakeholders, and reflect and adjust way of working to accommodate those cultures
