Job's mission
As a Manufacturing Engineer at ASM, you’ll develop software solutions that directly impact the performance and precision of our advanced wafer fabrication systems. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll transform complex needs into practical, user-friendly tools that power automation and improve productivity. This is a role where your code won’t just run — it will move machines and shape the future of semiconductor technology.
What you will be working on
- Design, develop, and document software that supports factory automation and advanced manufacturing processes
- Test, troubleshoot, and refine code to ensure functionality and reliability
- Collaborate with engineering teams to gather software requirements and define practical, efficient solutions
- Support internal users by investigating feedback, addressing issues, and implementing enhancements
- Partner with Test Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering on integration and deployment
- Maintain project documentation and contribute to regular status reports
- Take part in various automation and digitalization projects within the manufacturing team
- Handle other assigned projects that support team goals
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience programming in C++, .NET, C#, or Python
- Familiar with SQL and database concepts
- Experience with development environments such as Visual Studio or VS Code
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Able to understand and interpret existing code and system functionality
- Familiar with device control protocols like TCP/IP, EtherCAT, DeviceNet, or Serial
- A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and teamwork
