Job's mission

Position Summary 

The Senior Logistics Specialist plays a crucial role in the daily oversight and management of third-party logistics service provider operations. This position is vital for ensuring that orders and shipments are executed efficiently, leading to on-time delivery. As a key member of the Singapore Spares Logistics organization, this role reports directly to the Logistics Manager for GSS Logistics in Taiwan and Singapore.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Managing Logistics Operations: Overseeing warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping, to ensure items are transported safely and efficiently.  
  • Handling International and Domestic Transportation: Managing the transportation of international and domestic, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. 
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, conducting stock counts, and optimizing inventory utilization.  
  • Data Management: Handling logistics data, correcting data entry errors, and maintaining the accuracy of logistics system data.  
  • Customer Service: Ensuring customer needs are met by providing efficient and reliable service.  
  • Best Practices Application: Using best practices to support the organization’s mission, priorities, and goals.  
  • Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvement measures to optimize processes and operations within the organization.  
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Promoting collaboration between different departments to ensure effective utilization of knowledge and resources.  

Experience / Skills Required 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or higher is required.  
  • 5+ years in Service Supply Chain Management in Semiconductor Industry.  
  • Must have high “sense of urgency” and “know how” to escalate to proper channel  
  • Working knowledge of modern logistics, material flow and improvement strategies and the ability to integrate those into the operation. 
  • Experience in SAP is preferred, knowledge of TMS / WMS functionalities is expected 
  • Any other professional certifications will be of added advantage 
  • Proven self-starter, change agent and influencer 
  • Ability to operate in an environment of significant change and ambiguity
