Job's mission
As a Commodity Manager at ASM, you’ll be the strategic link between our supply chain and global Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners. You’ll lead supplier relationships, ensuring seamless supply continuity, strong performance, and cost alignment, while collaborating with teams across engineering, quality, and operations. What you will be working on
- Manage global outsourcing and contract manufacturing partners to optimize performance in quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.
- Develop and adjust long-term CM strategies in line with ASM’s business direction.
- Maintain performance and capability data on key suppliers and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and mitigate supplier risks—financial, operational, quality, or capacity.
- Serve as the main point of contact and escalation for assigned CM partners.
- Lead cost-reduction and dual sourcing initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Drive business reviews, strategic planning, and supplier performance evaluations.
- Support supplier qualification, re-sourcing activities, and supplier base consolidation.
- Monitor global market trends, pricing, and supply chain health to inform decision-making.
- Evaluate CM planning and execution against materials, manpower, machines, methods, and environmental readiness (4M+1E).
- Lead annual contract negotiations and manage supplier SLAs and commercial terms.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, or program management in a low-volume, high-value manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills with proven ability to influence in a matrix organization.
- Experience in large module manufacturing.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills.
