Job's mission
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our System Engineering team in the semiconductor equipment industry. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AI modeling and data analysis, with hands-on experience in analyzing input/output data from manufacturing equipment. This role will focus on developing process and hardware design optimization, predictive maintenance models, and data-driven control using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques.
What you will be working on
- Develop and deploy AI/ML models for process and hardware design optimization, predictive maintenance and performance optimization of semiconductor equipment.
- Analyze complex datasets from automated equipment, including sensor and operational data, to extract actionable insights.
- Interpret and model physical phenomena from large-scale equipment data to support engineering understanding and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineering, process development, and simulation team to identify data-driven opportunities.
- Design experiments and validate models in real-world production environments.
- Contribute to the development of digital twins and intelligent control systems for next-generation equipment.
What we are looking for
- Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Electrical Engineering, or a related field. (Ph.D. preferred)
- Proven experience in AI modeling and data analytics, particularly in semiconductor equipment or other advanced technology domains.
- Strong understanding of equipment input/output data and its application in predictive analytics.
- Experience in designing data-driven diagnostic or control systems that integrate physical understanding with machine learning techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to derive physical insights from big data, bridging data science with engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Familiarity with time-series analysis, anomaly detection, and reliability modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
What sets you apart
- Experience working with semiconductor equipment or similar high-tech manufacturing systems.
- Background in equipment design optimization using simulation and AI techniques.
- Hands-on experience in developing PHM (Prognostics and Health Management) or predictive diagnostics systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems and data-driven control theory.
