With more than 4,500 ASMers representing 70 nationalities, our people and our advanced semiconductor devices are playing a crucial role in trends such as 5G, cloud computing, AI, and autonomous driving.  But we’re more than just a tech company. We value diversity, inclusion and sustainability as we strive to make a positive impact on the world.  Our development programs help support your growth, shaping your future and pushing the boundaries of innovation to unleash potential.

ASM is looking for a Talent Management Director reporting to the Global Head of Talent, Leadership & Culture (TLC). You will work closely with other Center of Excellence teams, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and business leaders to accelerate change across all COE critical pillars.

Working as an individual contributor, you will be responsible for co-developing the ASM Talent Management strategy with an in-depth understanding of business priorities and talent needs required to strengthen the leadership bench across the organization. A critical dimension of this role is bringing outside-in perspectives, continuously scanning the semiconductor ecosystem and the broader technology industry for emerging talent trends, best practices, and competitive intelligence to ensure ASM's talent frameworks remain future-ready and ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving market.

The incumbent is also responsible for supporting HRBPs in identifying talent through potential and performance assessments, engaging and retaining talent through high-touch, relevant initiatives, and supporting top talent development and succession management. The Talent Management Director also contributes to driving the Leadership Development curricula as well as critical talent processes and ExCo and Supervisory Board Talent presentations.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Outside-In Perspective & Thought Leadership

  • Bring outside-in perspectives by actively benchmarking ASM's talent practices against semiconductor peers and leading technology companies, identifying gaps and opportunities to elevate our talent frameworks, processes, and initiatives

  • Act as an active participant and visible representative in Talent Management conferences, industry forums, and professional communities, bringing back insights that inform ASM's talent agenda

Talent Strategy & Processes

  • Co-define and co-implement strategic Talent priorities with the Global Head of Talent, Leadership & Culture in line with the business strategy and ASM's growth trajectory

  • Train and equip managers to understand Talent Review pillars — including potential, performance over time, and retention assessments — developing consistent language, tools, and awareness across the organization

Development, Coaching & Alignment

  • Coach employees and managers on career development topics and drive coaching and mentoring initiatives across the organization
  • Align Talent initiatives with Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition priorities to ensure an integrated talent ecosystem
