What you will be working on:

- Lead installation, upgrade, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of R&D equipment during the design phase of new products.
- Take full ownership of R&D lab equipment operations, ensuring high tool utilization and uptime across the team.
- Provide technical guidance and foster a collaborative attitude when working with Hardware, Electrical, Controls, Process, and Software engineering teams during new product development.
- Supervise and support first builds and testing of new products, working closely with R&D core functions including facilities.
- Partner with the GPS team to develop and standardize documentation for best-known methods in service, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Promote and enforce a safety-first mindset across all equipment-related activities.
- Manage and mentor a team Equipment Engineers, ensuring alignment with project goals and individual development.
- Monitor team performance, set clear objectives, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Coordinate resource planning, workload distribution, and escalation handling to ensure smooth lab operations.
What we are looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering .
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Experience in a supervisory role is plus
- Hands-on experience with deposition tools is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of wafer fab operations, closed-loop gas and vacuum control systems.
- Familiarity with RF-induced plasma, electro-pneumatic controls, microprocessor-based controllers, robotics, and basic software concepts.
- Experience handling toxic and/or flammable gases and acids in a cleanroom or lab environment.
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions and levels.
