Advanced Analytics is a newly created function in ASM Global Operations target to reimagine and reinvent how advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and intelligent automation can help to revolutionize Operations, improve various business outcome and drive innovation. Interns will have the opportunity to rotate across different focus areas within Advanced Analytics (AA), such as data engineering, AI/ML model development, automation, and business analytics. Rotations will be guided by both intern interests/aspirations and the immediate or near-future needs of the AA team, ensuring a balance between personal growth and organizational priorities. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help integrate AI into existing systems and contribute to new initiatives.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, AI Engineers, and other stakeholders to support digital transformation and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of predictive models, including Agentic AI systems and Large Language Models (LLMs), with mentorship from experienced team members.
- Participate in the development of AI, Intelligent Automation, and Digital Twin architectures under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in data engineering, machine learning, and AI, and learn to evaluate their applicability to real-world business challenges.
- Assist in analyzing business problems, identifying data sources, extracting and transforming data, and testing AI/ML solutions.
- Support the design and maintenance of scalable data engineering pipelines for advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
- Assist in implementing and optimizing data workflows using modern tools and frameworks.
- Help automate and integrate end-to-end data and AI solution development; support proof-of-concept projects to automate manual business processes.
Requirements
- Currently in your third year pursuing at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or any related field such as Math and Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, and Supply Chain Management, etc.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Interest or exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, and autonomous decision-making systems (Decision Intelligence) is a plus.
- Online certifications in relevant technologies or frameworks are a plus.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and PowerBI/ Tableau; familiarity with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark) is a plus.
- Understanding data pipelines, data orchestration, data lakes, cloud, and MLOps are advantages.
- Experience with academic projects, coursework, or internships in Data Science, AI/ML, or software engineering will be a bonus.
