Job's mission

As a Lead I, Manufacturing Operation at ASM, you will oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations to ensure on-time delivery of capital equipment while driving productivity, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
This role is responsible for overall production planning and scheduling, leading the organization through manufacturing supervisors, and handling manufacturing-related topics in close collaboration with global stakeholders, including managers based in Singapore. You will play a key role in managing capacity, anticipating manufacturing challenges, and aligning local operations with global manufacturing objectives.

 

What you will be working on

  • Own and manage overall manufacturing planning and production schedules to meet tool output and delivery commitments
  • Lead manufacturing operations through supervisors, ensuring technicians are effectively managed, deployed, and supported
  • Monitor, analyze, and drive improvement of key manufacturing metrics including productivity, quality, safety, and training
  • Provide regular operational updates and manufacturing metrics to management and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Drive productivity improvement and cost optimization initiatives, including leading LEAN manufacturing projects
  • Partner closely with Engineering teams on investigations, corrective actions, and non-conformance reviews
  • Participate in manufacturing space expansion and capacity planning projects
  • Anticipate operational risks and constraints, developing proactive mitigation and recovery plans
  • Act as a key interface between local manufacturing operations and global manufacturing teams
  • Ensure strong discipline of execution, safety compliance, and housekeeping standards across the manufacturing floor
  • Coach, mentor, and develop manufacturing supervisors, including performance reviews and issue resolution

 

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 12 years of total professional experience after bachelor’s degree graduation, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing management role
  • Proven leadership capability with experience managing teams through supervisors
  • Strong manufacturing planning, scheduling, and operational execution skills
  • Business-level English communication skills (mandatory) to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders, including Singapore-based managers
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing KPIs, productivity, quality, and capacity management
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and inter-departmental environment
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting, analysis, and planning
