Job's mission

As the People Partner in ASM, you are part of the Global People team. This role reports to the Country People Head based in Singapore and is responsible and accountable for delivering HR-business solutions to support the company's growth and advising managers and employees based in Singapore & Malaysia. You will also support and collaborate with Global & Regional People Partners and People Center of Excellence (CoEs) for Global & Regional initiatives to be implemented and executed in Singapore and Malaysia.

This role requires strategic thinking, tactical, and hands-on execution in a dynamic and demanding business environment.

What you will be working on

  • Partner with the Country People Head and assigned Business Leaders to drive HR initiatives for the assigned Business Units (BUs) or Support Units (SUs) in Singapore & Malaysia.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to plan, implement, and execute people-related initiatives and programs that support business growth and strategic objectives.
  • Lead key initiatives related to talent, leadership, organizational development, performance management and culture transformation.
  • Drive the adoption and implementation of regional and global HR Center of Excellence (COE) programs for the assigned BU/SU.
  • Provide data-driven insights, analysis, and recommendations to address HR queries, inform decision-making, and enhance organizational performance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to people managers, providing proactive support, guidance, and anticipating business needs and priorities.
  • Promote positive employee relations, actively collecting feedback to monitor and address concerns, fostering a healthy organizational environment.
  • Serve as a steward of corporate HR practices, ensuring alignment with company values, policies, and guidelines while role-modeling desired culture and behaviors.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a People Partner with exposure to both Business Partnering and Centers of Excellence (CoE) functions
  • Prior experience in working in semiconductor or high technology industry and supporting organizations across multiple geographies
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization with strong negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities and proven ability to build and maintain effective relationship
  • Ability to plan, organize, execute and close multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality under tight deadlines
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated understanding of people-related issues impacting business outcomes
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to lead through influence and manage stakeholders without direct authority
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
