Job's mission
Join ASM as a Materials Projects Specialist and help ensure that our first-of-a-kind semiconductor tools come together on time, every time. In this fast-moving, high-stakes NPI environment, you’ll organize and track critical parts from all over the world—keeping builds on schedule and teams informed. If you thrive on structure, can handle shifting priorities, and love turning chaos into order, this is your opportunity to grow with a global leader in technology.
What you will be working on
-
Manage and kit parts for NPI tool builds, including inspecting, logging, sorting, and de-trashing.
-
Coordinate material flow from domestic and international sites, ensuring timely delivery of components.
-
Track and update bills of materials (BoMs) manually using Excel in a fast-changing environment.
-
Ensure the right parts arrive at the right tool at the right time—across multiple, overlapping build schedules.
-
Identify, separate, and document defective parts; work with Supplier Quality teams for returns or root cause analysis.
-
Communicate material issues or process improvements to stakeholders in logistics, operations, and quality teams.
-
Occasionally assist with build support or facility coordination for NPI workspaces.
-
Adapt quickly in a highly dynamic environment while upholding safety standards, including Clean Room and 6S protocols.
What we are looking for
-
0–3 years of experience in material coordination, logistics, or related fields.
-
Detail-oriented with the ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment.
-
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
-
Strong Excel skills for basic manual data tracking and BoM management.
-
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across logistics, quality, and manufacturing teams.
-
Full commitment to safety in lab or Clean Room settings.
-
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support off-shift or weekend work as needed.
What sets you apart
-
Experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or hands-on trades such as HVAC or auto repair.
-
Advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., pivot tables or macros).
-
Interest in semiconductor tools or technical environments.
