Job's mission

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer at ASM, you’ll lead the design and development of innovative mechanical systems that drive the future of semiconductor technology. In this leadership role, you will oversee end-to-end ownership of projects, from concept to completion, while mentoring a collaborative team and ensuring the highest design standards. Your expertise in electromechanical design and physics will directly shape groundbreaking solutions that power the technology of tomorrow.

What you will be working on

  • Lead and manage the electro-mechanical design process for a variety of high-impact projects.
  • Oversee the complete project lifecycle, from concept development to final implementation.
  • Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and ASM’s high-quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and external stakeholders, to achieve project success.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Oversee the development, prototyping, and testing of cutting-edge solutions.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver on company objectives.

What we are looking for

  • Master's or PhD in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of managing and owning complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, including high-temperature and high-flow systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools for analysis and design.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
