We are seeking an experienced fixed assets accountant with strong technical knowledge of fixed assets, capitalization, and compliance requirements.
This is an individual contributor role based in Singapore, reporting to the Capex Manager, Finance Shared Service.
The role will be responsible for end-to-end fixed assets accounting, governance, reporting and system-related matters, working closely with business units, IT auditors, and other finance stakeholders.
Key responsibilities but not limited to:
Fixed Assets Management:
- Ensure assets are capitalized in accordance with the Group Accounting policies and IFRS requirements.
- Prepare and maintain fixed assets schedules in Blackline
- Perform fixed asset Master data Management, including asset creation, changes and retirements
- Set up and maintain project master data for new fixed assets and capital projects
- Coordinate physical asset verification exercises and perform reconciliation against accounting records
- Enforce fixed assets tagging policies and controls
- Prepare and review Asset Under Construction (AUC) reports and follow up with stakeholders for timely capitalization or closure
- Coordinate with IT and users to resolve system-related issues impacting fixed assets and capex
- Ensure IT projects expenditures are properly capitalized
Compliance & Controls:
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for audit samples
- Address internal and external audit queries related to fixed assets
- Perform Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) self-assessment for fixed assets
Reporting and Forecasting:
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliation and reporting
- Support Group and Business Unit Fixed Asset forecasting activities
- Prepare and support EU taxonomy and CSRD-related fixed assets reporting
- Provide fixed assets schedules and support to tax team as required
Others:
- Support M&A integration activities related to fixed assets
- Involved in process improvement and standardization initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in fixed assets accounting, preferably in a Shared Services or multinational environment
- Hands-on experience with SAP (ECC / S/4 HANA) preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
