Summary
Working as part of the Product Sustainability Team, this Senior Application Engineer will report to Product Sustainability Lead in Phoenix, AZ and will work focus on the initiatives of product sustainability for supporting ASM product development and improvement in applications across the board. Working on design and R&D projects, this role will engage with projects in fab and subfab environment related to hardware and software. This role will collaborate and partner with key stakeholders of other product teams to ensure innovative design solutions enabling next generation of semiconductor equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct measurement, data collection and data analytics for semiconductor equipment and peripheral equipment with a variety of measurement devices/sensors
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software for tool communication, tool operation, data management, and emission simulation
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, including embedded software control systems
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
- Work together as a team to collaborate on projects and solutions
- Review/understand/provide inputs on product sustainability design/proposals for individual process modules
Education
- Master or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Automation or relevant disciplines
Experience
- 1-5 years of related experience, in related industries
- Prefer 3+ years experience working with of semiconductor industry and industrial equipment
Knowledge
- Knowledge of semiconductor industry including wafer processing
- Affinity with control hardware applications, such as Ethernet, EtherCAT, RS232, device net, TCP/IP
- Experience with Control/PLC Algorithms
- Experience working with two or more from the following: software for machine control, Semiconductor Factory Automation (SEMI SECS/GEM), Equipment Data Acquisition (SEMI EDA / Interface A), Multi-threaded applications, real-time software, Beckhoff PLC, device drivers or other control driven software
- Knowledge to perform data analytics and visualization, such as Power BI
- Preferred software development experience in programming language, such as C++, C#, Java
Skill
- Mechanical skills/knowledge of chemical/gas/water/electrical distribution systems
- Strong Project Management skills – ability to execute and drive projects to closure
- Strong interpersonal skills to inspire and influence across the organization
- Fluent communication skills in English, including preparation technical reports and conducting training/seminars

Travel Requirements:
