Primary Focus: Platform & Infrastructure
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the foundation of our analytics platform. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a robust, scalable infrastructure that supports our data analytics applications across multiple deployment scenarios, from air-gapped local systems to cloud environments. You will evaluate and implement appropriate architectural approaches based on our specific needs. You'll work closely with other system software developers, data engineers and application developers to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the infrastructure architecture for our analytics platform through evaluation of various approaches (containerized, monolithic, microservices, layered, etc.)
- Create and maintain deployment configurations for multiple environments (on-premise, air-gapped, cloud)
- Establish reliable deployment and update processes across different architectures
- Configure and manage networking, security, and resource allocation for the platform
- Design scalable solutions that can adapt to the target environments
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Optimize platform performance and resource utilization
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities
- Collaborate with others on integration architecture
- Document infrastructure components, configurations, and procedures
- Research and evaluate new technologies and architectural approaches
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with systems architecture and infrastructure design
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Windows Server environments and .NET framework
- Knowledge of modern application architectures (containerization, microservices, monolithic) in both local and cloud environments
- Experience in infrastructure as code and automation tools
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security practices
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools
- Experience with resource optimization and scaling
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Experience with industrial or manufacturing environments is a plus
- Programming proficiency in preferably multiple relevant languages (Go, Python, Rust, C, C#, .NET, JavaScript/Typescript, etc.)
