As a Process Integration Engineer (Electrical focus), you’ll be at the heart of innovation, designing and refining the electrical control systems that power our advanced semiconductor equipment. From chambers to gas and vacuum units, your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of the tools used by leading tech companies around the world. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will shape the future of semiconductor manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement electrical control systems for semiconductor fabrication tools in full compliance with NFPA 79, UL 508A, and NEC
- Design and develop detailed wiring schematics, cable routing, and panel layouts, ensuring safety standards.
- Coordinate CE Marking and UL certification processes for global deployment of semiconductor equipment.
- Develop embedded control software and equipment automation scripts using C/C++, Python, and Ladder Logic (PLC) for motion control subsystems.
- Design and maintain GUI-based diagnostic tools and HMI interfaces using Python/LabVIEW or similar tools, improving serviceability and user interaction on equipment platforms.
- System integration through Modbus, EtherCAT, and RS-485 protocols, enabling real-time communication between sensors, actuators, and supervisory systems.
- Participate in system prototyping, testing, validation, and field deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of components.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance of deployed systems.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or above in Electrical and Computer engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of industry experience preferred. Proficiency in Python and C/C++ programming for developing and debugging software applications.
- Experience with system integration and troubleshooting in hardware–software environments (able to diagnose communication and performance issues across devices)
- Prior experience in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry. Deposition product knowledge a plus (CVD, ALD, EPI, PVD).
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present design concepts to peers and management in a professional and effective manner.
- Strong cross-functional communication and project execution skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English (Korea is a plus), able to read technical documents.
- Experience in customer technical support or project management is a plus.
- Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
