Job's mission

 

As a Senior / Engineer Quality Engineer within ASM’s Global Quality team, you play a key role in ensuring manufacturing excellence across internal sites and contract manufacturers. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams worldwide, you help resolve complex quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and strengthen quality systems aligned with ASM’s technology roadmap. Your work directly contributes to customer satisfaction, product reliability, and operational excellence in high‑tech manufacturing environments.

What you will be working on

 

  • Create detailed and well‑structured inspection plans, partnering with cross‑functional teams to improve assembly processes, testing, and product quality.
  • Lead customer escalations and feedback, working with manufacturing sites, contract manufacturers, and field teams to define clear problem statements.
  • Investigate non‑conformances using structured problem‑solving methodologies, including 8D, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive quality reports for internal stakeholders, including field service teams.
  • Identify manufacturing gaps with internal teams and contract manufacturers, driving corrective actions and systematic continuous improvement.
  • Track, analyze, and report quality metrics, recommending actions to achieve defined quality targets.
  • Conduct product and process audits prior to shipment to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.
  • Manage onsite customer audits and ISO certification audits at manufacturing sites, following up on action items through closure.
  • Perform periodic ISO 9001 audits at contract manufacturers and ensure timely CAPA implementation.
  • Measure contract manufacturer performance through monthly quality metrics and quarterly scorecards.

What we are looking for

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Quality Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering in a semiconductor equipment or high-tech manufacturing industries
  • Experience supporting internal audits, certification audits, and/or customer audits.
  • Familiarity with operational excellence tools such as Lean manufacturing, FMEA, SPC, PDCA, 8D problem solving, and Six Sigma.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with hands‑on experience applying structured methodologies such as 8D.
  • Clear and effective communication skills for collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a global, cross‑functional environment.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
