(Senior) Field Service Engineer – ALD & EPI (경력직 Only)
Location: Icheon, Korea (이천)
Position Summary
As a Field Service Engineer at ASM, you will enjoy the rewards of a dynamic and a diverse working environment amongst the brightest minds from around the world. As an experienced Field Service Engineer, you will utilize your experience to independently handle installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks for our equipment in ASM. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to work autonomously while contributing to team success.
Take a closer look at the responsibilities
- Ensure safety protocols are adhered to while performing work; prevent other coworkers and customer from performing work outside safety protocols.
- Install equipment at customer’s locations, including new equipment, upgrades, and system relocations.
- Diagnose problems, identify, and order components, and make necessary repairs.
- Co-work with local and international technical support teams to solve problems.
- Monitor, maintain and optimize equipment daily to enhance functionality and prevent problems.
- Provide technical support to customers to correct system malfunctions.
- Train customers in use and routine maintenance of equipment. Answer customer questions and assist customers in a professional manner.
- Perform administrative and coordination duties, including update install status reports, update install project plans, update procedures, facilitate pass-downs, create work orders, and create corrective action / preventative action reports.
We could be a great match for each other if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field.
- At least 5+ years of field service / customer support experience and/or manufacturing experience in final assembly or test of semiconductor capital equipment, preferably in Epitaxy (EPI) and Thermal ALD or PEALD/CVD. Etch is also considerable.
- Knowledge in any or all the following areas is a plus: wafer fab, closed loop gas and vacuum control, RG induced plasma, electro-pneumatic controls, microprocessor-based controllers, robotics, basic concepts of software, toxic and/or flammable gasses, and acids.
- Knowledge and experience in all the following: Electromechanical schematics and drawings, electro-pneumatic controls, robotics, microprocessor-based controllers, basic concepts of software.
- Understand the importance of following existing safety policies and procedures.
- Strong customer focused attitude
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills (both Korean and English)
- Work in constrictive clean room environment, wearing appropriate personal protective safety equipment.
- Travel of 25-75% for both domestic and international locations may be required.
