As our Senior Manager, Total Rewards Europe, you will be responsible for co-developing, implementing, and driving global C&B strategies and practices across all of our entities in Europe. You’ll be the primary point of contact to support our European People Function and business managers on a day-to-day basis. You’ll ensure our reward policies are competitive, compliant, and aligned with both our global business and human resources strategies. This position is based out of our Global HQ in Almere, the Netherlands and reports into the Global Head of Total Rewards.

  • Co-lead the development and execution of global C&B strategies, ensuring competitive, equitable, and cost-effective reward programs.
  • Drive the implementation of global reward strategies in Europe.
  • Advise regional senior management, support regional HR teams..
  • Strengthen C&B strategies through expert guidance, governance, and knowledge sharing across global and regional HR teams.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on compensation trends, policies, and best practices to drive business and talent strategies.
  • Lead European pay equity initiatives, drive implementation, and serve as the subject matter expert.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into practical advice and proposals, focusing on continuous improvement of C&B processes and policies.
  • Lead regional, cross-regional, and global HR projects, including managing and coaching local and regional HR project team members.
  • Drive the annual regional compensation process, monitor budget and spending.
  • Support job evaluations, salary benchmarking, annual compensation reviews, and incentive planning (bonus and equity).
  • Play a key role in HRIS implementation, ensuring accurate and effective rewards data management.
  • Manage and improve fringe benefits such as pension schemes, mobility, and health insurance.
  • Co-own the existing job classification system for Europe.
  • Pursue a policy of proactive innovation and propose improvements to ensure ASM remains an attractive employer.
  • Map out employment conditions packages that suit the current job market, making them clear to potential, new, and existing employees.
  • Translate salary benchmark data into concrete actions and policy.

 

We could be a great match for each other if you have the following:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Finance, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, of which at least 5 should be in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards
  • Proven track record in leading and implementing compensation projects, including pay equity initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of C&B, total rewards, global mobility, job evaluation, HRIS, payroll, tax, labor law, and social security.
  • Expertise in grading methodologies (e.g., Mercer, Hay) and salary benchmarking processes.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting compensation data and providing strategic insights.
  • Experience with HRIS implementation and optimizing compensation systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence decisions.
  • Experience in equity compensation (e.g., RSUs, stock options) and understanding of pay transparency regulations.
  • Familiarity with global compensation structures and international benchmarking.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, HR analytics tools, or data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Ability to balance strategy, tactical planning, and hands-on execution in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Drive for innovation and collaboration, with agility and speed
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Please note that this is a full time role of which 4 days should be onsite in our office in Almere, NL.
