Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer
PEALD/PECVD NPI Product build control engineer and DFM/DFA expert in GOPS

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Global NPI products to lead manufacturing readiness for new product introductions across global sites. In this role, this position will act as a critical link between design engineering, operations, and supply chain, ensuring smooth ramp-up and scalable, cost-effective production. And also this position will drive process design, validation, and continuous improvement activities from concept through full production launch.
Key Responsibilities
- As partner with the Global Operations (GOPS) team (e.g Manufacturing, Production Planning, Procurement, Quality Engineering) and BU engineering team emphasis on manufacturing processes and methodology, cycle time, labor reduction, SOE sequence, and quality improvement.
- Having strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, virtual analysis via SOE review and VSM activities based on huge mechanical engineering knowledge for instance design for safety, quality, manufacturing, supply chain and cost.
- Provide NPI(Concept, alpha, Beta) phase of product’s engineering support in resolving daily operation issues and providing corrective actions to relevant team, through collaboration with a team of multidisciplined manufacturing engineers, manufacturing supervisors and technicians.
- Providing MFG Strategy to GOPS/KPU/BU engineering and identified BKM manufacturing methodology based on lean manufacturing knowledge.
- Achieve daily targets on product delivery to global customers in alignment with manufacturing engineering strategies, production OTD, quality and safety standards.
- Define and create manufacturing assembly OMS, build sequence, methods, and quality documentation (e.g. DQL, buyoff checklists, etc.) according to material and assembly specifications.
- Drive timely solutions for the suppliers, contract manufacturing, and internal manufacturing by liaising with cross functional teams in GOPS and Business Units (BU) via SMRA/SCR process.
- Lead the execution of continuous improvement projects on quality, cost, labor reduction, cycle time improvement with line balancing in line build production line.
- Tooling and test instruments identification according to product requirements aka ERS/MRS, with innovations in the meeting of manufacturing efficiency and customer quality.
- NC/CIP tracking to clear any open problem and issues for NPI product’s mature and manage any engineering spec. waiver via ESW/SSD progress.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including 3+ years in NPI or product transfer.
- Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, PFMEA, SPC, and process validation methodologies.
- Hands-on Experience in Semiconductor or FPD Capital Equipment industry in the design of equipment hardware using AutoCAD, ProE, Solidworks, Ansys, Fluent etc.
- Experience working in a global manufacturing environment and cross-cultural teams.
- Hands-on strong material properties which use in semi conductor industrial. Variants coating spec. knowledge would be plus for instance power coat, anodizing, EP, etc..
- Create and validate manufacturing document: BOMs, routings, and ERP system inputs with build & test procedures, define build/test sequence, validating quality documentation. And Manage manufacturing deliverables throughout product lifecycle gates.
- Ability to work cross functionally with Design Engineers, MPM/CM (supply chain engineers), Quality, Manufacturing team and clean-up any issue during build/test. – be familiar with 8D/FMEA process
- Experience with SAP and/or major ERP/MRP systems and processes at user level will be a plus.
- Expertise or good familiarity in new product introduction (NPI) such as BOM structure, PLM related processes, change control
- Working in semiconductor or FPD capital equipment will be plus
- Language – Fluent English speaking and writing skills
