Job's mission
As a Senior Technician, Production, you’ll be at the heart of ASM’s manufacturing excellence, ensuring our advanced semiconductor equipment meets the highest standards. You’ll lead a team while performing hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex mechanical systems. Your expertise will help drive innovation and continuous improvement in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
What you will be working on
- Lead timely completion of production plans while maintaining and improving workmanship standards.
- Report shift production status and progress.
- Drive and participate in lean and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with Engineering on product development, high-volume activities, and quality issue resolution.
- Support New Product Introduction builds.
- Interpret engineering prints, specifications, schematics, and manuals for assembly tasks.
- Troubleshoot electrical controls using tools such as multimeters and amp meters.
- Plan and execute assembly procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
- Assemble complex mechanical units requiring precision and problem-solving.
- Inspect parts and sub-assemblies for quality and compliance.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols for tools, equipment, and workplace.
- Complete certification requirements for assigned modules within specified timelines.
- Engage in cross-training across product families to support flexibility and skill development.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
What we are looking for
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor or manufacturing industries.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, mechanical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly, testing or troubleshooting of machines.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
- Willing to work on an 8-hour fixed shift, Monday to Friday. Company transport and shift allowance provided.
- Normal color vision for safe handling of electrical components and safety compliance.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and kneeling.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools and precision measurement devices safely.
- Ability to work in environments with strong magnets during assembly and testing
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
