Role's mission

As Head of Operations Excellence, you will lead the transformation of ASM’s global operations by advancing process maturity, driving innovation, and delivering measurable business impact. This role is central to shaping our operational strategy, enhancing supply chain performance, and embedding customer-centricity across our global footprint. You’ll be at the forefront of enabling growth, improving service, and optimizing capital efficiency through data-driven decision-making and strategic leadership.

What you will be working on

  • Lead the development and execution of ASM’s global operations excellence strategy.
  • Advance process excellence capabilities (Lean, Six Sigma) to drive best-in-class performance.
  • Use data and analytics to identify improvement opportunities and influence leadership decisions.
  • Oversee global business process ownership for demand planning, supply planning, replenishment, and inventory management.
  • Map and optimize global operations processes from manufacturing to customer delivery.
  • Assess strengths and gaps across operations and design targeted short- and medium-term action plans that unlock measurable improvements.
  • Lead strategic initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in service levels, inventory performance, and capital efficiency.
  • Develop and embed a long-term operations strategy that enables benchmark cost competitiveness and elevates customer experience across the value chain.
  • Champion customer-centricity and lead adoption of new systems and tools.
  • Benchmark external innovations and recommend strategic enhancements.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Minimum 7 years of global, cross-functional leadership experience.
  • Black Belt certification in Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence across global teams.
  • Program leadership and business analysis capabilities.
  • Proficiency in database tools and systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience coaching and teaching operational excellence principles.

 What sets you apart

  • Master’s degree or MBA in engineering, supply chain, or related field.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing global operations strategies.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable business results in service, inventory, and capital efficiency.
