Your role in driving innovation
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing new semiconductor products from design to full-scale manufacturing. You will work closely with Design Engineering (DE) and High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) teams in a hands-on environment to ensure our products are optimized for cost, quality, and efficiency. This role requires expertise in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance manufacturing readiness and scalability.
What you will be working on

New Product Commercialization: Partner with DE and HVM to ensure new products meet cost, quality, and cycle time targets.

Plan manufacturing steps and material staging for efficient production.

Analyze new product builds to identify areas for improvement.

Apply lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency.

Perform DFx (Design for Excellence) and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) deliverables for new products and continuous improvement projects (CIP).

Troubleshoot build issues, validate bill of materials (BoM), and support manufacturing staff.

Identify, design, and implement tooling and test fixtures to meet new product requirements.

Provide labor hour estimates for new product introduction and continuous improvement projects.

Manage tooling and test equipment to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.

Ensure manufacturing readiness as part of the Product Life Cycle (PLC) process.

Oversee product transfers, ensuring all production requirements are met.

Drive cost reduction initiatives and DFx strategies in collaboration with internal teams.

Work with Global Product Management (GPM) and DE to define and release product structures for new product/CIP options.

Support early retrofit and pilot builds of new product/CIP options.

Collaborate with Design Engineers to resolve engineering issues (SCR, ESW, defects found in pilot builds).

Support outsourcing strategies, including make/buy and insource/outsource decisions.

Work with Product, Field Support, and Business Units (BUs) to enhance engineering knowledge of equipment and processes.
What we are looking for
-
Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar preferred).

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Experience in an NPI or commercialization role is preferred.
- Experience within the Semiconductor/ Capital Equipment industry in Manufacturing, Quality and/or Engineering roles in equipment assembly or test is preferred.

Background in semiconductor, medical, aerospace, or capital equipment industries.

Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams.

Proficiency with CAD software (Creo and Teamcenter preferred).

Familiarity with SAP S4/HANA.

Hands-on experience with engineering tools and mechanical assembly.

Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, calipers, levels, and screwdrivers.

Demonstrated track record of driving and implementing changes in manufacturing.
