Position Summary
The HR Systems Analyst, HRIS & Payroll, is a hybrid role responsible for supporting enterprise HR systems, providing functional payroll expertise, and delivering high-quality HR operational support across the employee lifecycle. This position combines HRIS configuration and reporting responsibilities with hands-on payroll support, data management, troubleshooting, and cross-functional guidance for employees and managers.
This role partners closely across functions to ensure system accuracy, optimize processes, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, customer focused, and comfortable balancing recurring operational work with project-based systems enhancements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
HRIS Functional Support
- Provide day-to-day support for HR systems, including SAP SuccessFactors, Dayforce, Greenhouse, Enboarder, CultureAmp and related tools.
- Configure, maintain, test, and troubleshoot system functionality.
- Support HR processes across the full employee lifecycle (hire, onboarding, transfers, promotions, separations).
- Serve as a subject matter expert for system workflows, data structures, permissions, and reporting logic.
- Maintain data accuracy, support corrections, and monitor interface health with IT.
Payroll Processing & Support
- Serve as a functional payroll SME supporting accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, rate changes, bonuses, deductions, and corrections.
- Partner to reconcile variances, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage/tax regulations.
- Enter, audit, and maintain payroll-related data in applicable systems
- Respond to payroll inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and urgency.
- Support payroll year-end activities, audits, payroll reporting, and employee file maintenance.
System Enhancements & Projects
- Participate in HRIS project work, enhancements, implementations, and quarterly SuccessFactors releases.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications; assist IT in review and testing.
- Review new system features and support demonstrations and training for HR and business users.
- Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and improved user experience.
Reporting, Data & Analytics
- Build, maintain, and optimize HR and payroll reports.
- Conduct audits to ensure data quality, compliance, and alignment across systems.
- Provide insights and data analyses to HR, Finance, and leadership.
- Support compliance audits, SOx activities, and data-related inquiries.
Testing, Release Management & Documentation
- Create functional test scripts, execute UAT, and document results.
- Support testing cycles tied to enhancements, integrations, and cyclical HR events.
- Maintain updated system documentation, job aids, and knowledge-base articles.
User Support & HR Operations Support
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of inquiries.
- Support onboarding, HR policy interpretation, immigration questions, and People Services operational programs.
- Promote consistency in HR processes and reinforce compliance standards.
Security, Compliance & Collaboration
- Support maintenance of HR system security roles and participate in periodic access audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, data privacy, payroll regulations, and HR governance.
- Collaborate with People Partners and Centers of Excellence to ensure data integrity and process alignment.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on SuccessFactors releases, best practices, and payroll regulatory changes.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance data quality, system efficiency, and user experience.
- Assist with global HR initiatives, process standardization, and system maturity efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- 2+ years supporting enterprise HRIS platforms
- Hands-on experience in HRIS configuration, reporting, data management, and issue resolution.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data validation skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong customer service focus.
- Proficiency with Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of payroll processing, wage/tax compliance, and payroll systems (Dayforce, ADP, Paychex, Insperity, etc.).
- Experience in HR Operations, HR policy interpretation, and employee document management.
- Experience creating dashboards using PowerBI or Tableau
- Prior exposure to U.S. immigration processes.
