Job's mission
As a Production Technician at ASM, you’ll be at the heart of building precision mechanical assemblies for advanced semiconductor equipment. Your expertise ensures every component meets strict quality and performance standards, supporting ASM’s mission to drive innovation in technologies that shape the future. This role is ideal for problem-solvers who thrive in dynamic, high-tech environments.
What you will be working on
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all safety protocols.
- Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and manufacturing manuals to assemble machines accurately.
- Troubleshoot electrical controls using tools such as multimeters and amp meters.
- Plan and execute assembly procedures to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Assemble complex mechanical units requiring precision alignment, calibration, and skilled workmanship.
- Inspect parts and sub-assemblies for dimensional accuracy and proper finish.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Participate in cross-training and skill development across product families.
- Complete required certifications within specified timelines to support operational excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What we are looking for
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor or manufacturing industries.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, mechanical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly, testing or troubleshooting of machines.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
- Willing to work on an 8-hour fixed shift, Monday to Friday. Company transport and shift allowance provided.
- Normal color vision for safe handling of electrical components and safety compliance.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and kneeling.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools and precision measurement devices safely.
- Ability to work in environments with strong magnets during assembly and testing.
