Training Developer
As a Training Developer you’ll have the opportunities to get involved in a wider scope of work compared to our larger competitors. While the workload is challenging, you are given the independence and autonomy to perform at your peak. This work requires thinking “outside of the box” in an innovative manner, so you must have the ability to collaborate with others to deliver creative solutions, work well under pressure and pay great attention to small details.
Overview:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality training content for ASM’s Global Training Center (GTC). Translate complex technical knowledge into structured, engaging learning experiences that upskill ASM’s global engineering and non-engineering workforce
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical and professional training courses using established instructional design methodologies.
- Partner with engineers and technical experts to translate process and equipment knowledge into learning materials.
- Create engaging visuals, animations, and simulations in alignment with ASM branding.
- Manage projects from concept through delivery, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Continuously improve courses based on learner feedback and performance metrics.
- Contribute to ASM’s knowledge-sharing and continuous learning culture
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design/education or a technical field is preferred.
- Proven ability to design and develop engaging learning experiences (eLearning, instructor-led, hybrid).
- Strong background in technical training content development — ideally in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment, or process engineering.
- Expertise in eLearning tools: Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond, or similar
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM/xAPI standards.
- Strong visual communication skills (storyboarding, image direction, animation concepts).
- Familiarity with instructional design models (Magar’s Principles, Adult learning principles, ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Kirkpatrick).
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Microsoft Suite including: Outlook, Lync, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams
